Hello!
I bought the next device:
http://www.elfaelektroonika.ee/cgi-bin/web...2-189&ddl=1
It plays ordinary MP3 music files without any problems and i have been very much satisfied with the product so far. Now i downloaded some MP3 radio conversation files and tried playing these with the device. Since these are also MP3 files, then i assumed that they should also work without any problems, but in reality they dont make any noise at all. For some reason, the device doesnt want to read these files.
One of the files it doest play is the next one:
http://kuku.s3.amazonaws.com/raadioentsukl...dia20080626.mp3
Does anyone have any similar experience with such devices? Im not a big audio expert, maybe these MP3 files are encoded in a different way or something?

That MP3 you linked to is encoded 44KHz 64kbps CBR MONO, or single channel. The music files I presume are stereo, or 2 channel.

So, the only thing I can really think of is that the device doesn't work with mono (single channel) files because the specs say it works with bitrates from 32kbps to 320kbps.

Maybe if you can download the radio MP3s, and then transcode them to MP3 stereo, they would work.

In theory you could losslessly convert your mono files to joint stereo, but I don't know if anyone has done this.

Thanks for the help. Converted the file to stereo and it works smile.gif
