I'm trying to finish off the FFmpeg AAC decoder that currently resides in our Summer of Code repository to get it into FFmpeg trunk. There are a couple of outstanding issues to be addressed and I have samples for neither.

I'm looking for samples that have one of the following attributes:
- PNS (Perceptual Noise Coding)
- 'Meaningless' window sequence transitions involving the long stop or only long to eight short sequences and/or eight short to long start or only long sequences

Ideally I would like samples with/without for each attribute to be able to compare and ideally the samples should be publicly redistributable as I would like to put them up on the MPlayerHQ samples archive.

I remember some of the Apple HD trailers (http://www.apple.com/trailers/) had meaningless window transitions. Ghost Rider for example, IIRC. They might have corrected those after I reported it, though.

For PNS there is not much more than the Fraunhofer samples FTP, I'm afraid.

If I remember well, the Psytel encoder was able to use PNS.

but i think another step should be taken -

he will need to record sample pcm with addad noise for the pns to be activated. am i correct?

PNS was publicly tested in Nero Encoder. You can check the outcome here: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=53340
