When you do stream processing in DVD Decrypter, there's a "DELAY -#ms" number in the file names. Could someone please explain that to me a little more? Thanks.
This means that the individual audio stream has to be shifted in time by # of milliseconds compared to the video stream for perfect sync. Else the sound effects and recorded speech will no longer match the shown picture. Of course DVDDecrypter and other tools don't know the real delay, only what the author of that given MPEG-2 stream put there during authoring. It's possible that in reality both streams are in sync with 0 ms (no) delay.
