EDIT - forget it, I was blind : foo_fileops is an optional component from the fb2k installer. Thanks !

Hi,

I may be blind, but I just can't seem to find an official place where I could download the latest foo_fileops version.

I can't seem to find the component listed in those official sites :
http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?ti...:Components_0.9
http://www.foobar2000.org/components/index.html

I have also searched for a HA thread, without success.

And I don't think foo_fileops is a standard foobar 0.9.5x component (at least, last time I checked there were only 7 standard components : albumlist, cdda, converter, dsp_std, input_std, rgscan, and of course ui_std).

Any clues ? Thx in advance.

Reinstall foobar. fileops is shipped with foobar installer. you have to check it under optional components during installshield wizard.

I've made some additions to the wiki page (which I've been plotting for a while) that should make things more clear.

Thanks shakey. New wiki looks great.

Do you think it could help to point out in the wiki some particular components (1st party or 3rd party) that could in some cases affect fb2k's performance ? (simply because they can in some configurations - large libraries for example - eat too much CPU or too much RAM). Maybe that could help those among us that want a really lightweight & responsive foobar, with all needed functionality but without useless things.

Oh, and two funny facts BTW :
1. if I select a small playlist (<1000 songs), close my foobar, then start it again, the startup time is almost instantaneous. But if I select my whole library (about 30.000 songs), close my foobar, then start it again, the startup time goes up to about 15 seconds.
2. Same thing every time I select my whole library (before performing a Facets search for example) : the whole PC hangs for 8-10 seconds - it is totally irresponsive during that time - before displaying the library in the Playlist View and letting me perform the search).

Could this be improved in your opinion ?
