hello

is there a 20GB or more portable mp3 player that supports SDHC?

thanks

The Creative Zen 32GB fits the bill, although it's more of a general media player, instead of just audio/MP3.

Pros:

* 32GB solid-state memory built-in (also available in 4/8/16 GB)
* FM stereo tuner
* supports MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV audio formats
* SD memory slot for additional expansion, supporting SDHC cards 4/8/16 GB in size

Cons:
* Relatively short battery life (compared to other players): ~30 hours audio, ~5 hours video
* no FLAC or OGG Vorbis support
* Larger form factor due to 2.5" color LCD screen
* Approximately $300 USD MSRP price, and most online sites sell it for just slightly less (280 to 290)

There are quite a few out there. SanDisk has a 32GB Sansa that supports microSDHC cards. There is also a Wolverine Data MVP that comes in 60GB, 100GB, and 120GB capacities. It accepts a variety of expansion cards but it doesn't support any DRM files or the ability to read ID3 tags.

I would stick with either the Creative Zen or the SanDisk. Just keep in mind that the SanDisk supports microSDHC only, it can't support full sized SHDC cards.

Anyone knows if SanDisk with Rockbox recognizes microSDHC cards?

Yes, in fact Rockbox is the only way for Sansa E200v1 and C200v1 units to get microSDHC support as Sandisk apparently can't be bothered to release new firmware with official support for it on these older units. You'd need to use a separate card reader for moving files around, as USB within Rockbox on the Sandisk ports is still pretty much non-existent and booting into the original firmware (which us current Sansa Rockbox users have to resort to) isn't going to work with a microSDHC card.

Keep in mind, anything you'd find in store nowadays for the E200/C200 series would be the revised v2 design, which has completely different hardware under the hood. There's no Rockbox on the newer v2 units and probably wont be, at least for the foreseeable future, as the RB devs need more and better specs on the new hardware than what thay currently have before they could even really consider trying to get it to work.

Some players have low limits on the number of files on the external card. (and the folder structure.) Read the specs and then ask questions on this and other forums.
