Simple question, how can i see the total number of songs loaded into foobar?

Select all -> Properties. The heading of the properties dialog shows you the count. If you go to the "technical" tab, you can see stuff like total size, total length etc.

You can add a column in playlist view called item index. That will show the amount of all songs in a playlist.
