I'd like the ability for the filter of the Album List to automatically send the filtered tracks to the current playlist (or always the same playlist for that purpose).
In my previous CUI config, I used foo_uie_quicksearch to have this functionality.

Thanks for considering this feature.

Doesn't it effectively do this already, using the library viewer selection playlist with the "activate when changed" option enabled? (sorry if I'm misunderstanding what you want)...

You can also send the filtered output to a pre-designated playlist of your choice using the context menu item "Edit Other > Send To Playlist (or Send To Playlist And Play) > (playlist)" (you'll need foo_utils.dll installed). I have a custom toolbar button mapped to this command, sending the output to the default playlist and starting playback - it has the advantage over using the library viewer selection playlist of not getting wiped out immediately the album list selection changes or every time the library search box is used.

It doesn't do it automatically as I still have to click on the "All Music" root node so the content is sent to the lbrary selection playlist.

hmmm... it doesn't work like that for me - I can just click anywhere in the Album List window, and the selection (and only the selection) goes straight to the library viewer selection playlist (no need to click the All Music root node). Or am I still not getting what you mean.. ? huh.gif

I've just tried it with the album list in a separate window and embedded as a UI element - the only difference is that when you have it in a separate window, the root node is selected by default when the window is summoned, and the whole library is appended to anything already existing in the library viewer selection playlist (it's immediately overwritten as soon as the selection changes).

/edit: I guess was missing the point, and you want it to behave like the library search box (or Facets) and send the output straight to the playlist as you enter search criteria (without clicking on anything). Yes, it could be useful - it would be duplicating functionality you have elsewhere, but it would be consistent behaviour between various elements. A button to clear the filter box wouldn't go amiss either... smile.gif
