Hello

It's probably a quite simple problem, but I just can't seem to figure out the right setup to process my lossless backup files to mp3 files in one go with WaveGain AlbumGain scaling my music permanently to 89db.
I've tried it using MAREO in foobar2000, but I can't seem to get it working right and I've tried it using REACT (decoding my WavPack files to Wave files first (which clearly isn't an automated method), just to encode them with REACT again) but couldn't get it running either... sad.gif
I hope somebody out there could help me solve this issue, then I'd like to recreate my mp3 collection (since lame 3.98 appeard, it's time to update my older pre 3.97 files).

Thanks

Omni Encoder can do exactly this for you (actually I designed it to do just that!)

You don't need WaveGain, MAREO or REACT to do this; foobar2000 can handle it all by itself. Simply check the ReplayGain Processing box when you instruct the program to convert.

Thank you for your quick reply, I'll give it a try.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't ReplayGain in foobar2000 a postprocessor? If the option ReplayGain in the convert setup ist a preprocessor, then I'm ashamed that I didn't realize that earlier... It's my aim to shrink the size of my mp3 files by preprocessing them with WaveGain (or now possibly replaygain in foobar2000).

Yes, what I'm talking about is pre-processing.

You just need to make sure your WavePack files have RG information first.

Oh well: I guess sh*t happens... Looking too far for an answer but not seeing it in front of my nose... lalala.gif
My WavPack files have both ReplayGain info in their tags and in the embedded Cuesheets.

Thanks a lot
