Full Version: Strange Burrrn problem

Some of my cd's I've ripped with REACT have a strange problem. If I load the CUE sheet in Foobar, I can play the FLAC file without problems. However, if I load the CUE sheet in Burrrn I either get wrong track lengths. For example a cd length of 149m:22s or songs of 3 seconds which are really 2m30s.

The cd length in Burrrn is 149:22. According to Burrrn track 12 is 74 minutes while it should be 51 seconds. This prevents me from burning the flac file as a cd.
The created MP3 files play back correctly and have the correct times.

What could be the problem here?

what if you rename the file and tags from Kitsuné to Kitsune? and also any other non normal characters from the tags (track 21).

Thanks, but that did not help. I'll post another CUE sheet from the Into the Wild soundtrack. Track 3 in Foobar reads: 2m15s. In Burrrn: 3 seconds. I don't understand how 2 programs can interpret the CUE sheet differently. Any ideas?

In this example, the length for Track 12 (as given in your cuesheet) is 8/75 of a second, which takes it to the beginning of the "INDEX 00" pre-gap for Track 13. The length of the zero-index is just over 50 seconds, before "INDEX 01" begins.

Thanks for your help. Do you have any idea what caused this? Most of my other rips turned out fine. How come Foobar reads the cuesheet differently?

Greynol, do you know what causes these errors/this problem and what I can do about it? Thanks in advance.

greynol, it may not be "correct" (meaning "according to spec"), but it is an accurate reflection of the values the OP is seeing. That is what I was pointing out.

So you're saying this explains why Burrrn is seeing track 12 as 74 minutes long?

@laohu:
I'm suspecting there is a bug with Burrrn, and would recommend you contact its author.

My recommendation would be to decompress the flac to wave and load the CUE sheet into EAC.
