I need some expert opinion on this one
Here are the facts, drive is few month old samsung SH-203N dvd drive
I have riped and played many cds without any problem with that drive, latest cd i bought is giving me CRC errors on first 2 tracks, cd is brand new.
I tried to play it from that drive and there are audible clicks and cuts on those 2 tracks, so i presumed that cd is malfunctioning and thought of returning it.
Than i tried same cd on friends LG and it played&ripped fine, tried a few other cd players, all played fine.

So, only my samsung drive can't read first 2 tracks, and only on this particular cd

Any thoughts what could cause that?

Sounds like a copy protectioin issue. What is the CD?

hmm, i really doubt it's a copy protection issue, it's rater noton label, small independent label, i'm buying from them all the time

i would assume that there is something wrong with my samsung, but this is happening only with this cd and only on 2 tracks, it's audible too, and there is a pattern on those clicks&cuts

That is why i think it's rather strange, and i'm not sure getting another copy will make a difference
