Hi,

I just noticed that if I have foobar2000 playing in the background through kernel streaming plugin that the Flash videos won't have sound output by playing through FireFox 3.0 - by stopping playback sound output starts working and then I can even restart the output and I then get both sound outputs.
Futhermore, I tried to playback a Windows Media File (through the WMP Plugin) and that one didn't want to start at all (just doesn't start buffering - it keeps displaying "Ready"), only after stopping playback in foobar2000 and then reloading the page it worked.
Quicktime seems to work fine even with Kernel Streaming plugin.

That problem doesn't seem to occur with Direct Sound or ASIO plugin (that is why I am currently using ASIO plugin now but it still would be nice if Kernel Streaming wouldn't have this problem either).

I am using FireFox 3.0 btw.

That's limitation of your hardware (or its driver). See here http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?ti...ut_(foo_out_ks)

Hmm... It seems to work with applications using DirectSound though by using the Xonar D2X DS3D GX option.
Also I remember that this worked under XP. I believe it even worked before - maybe because of the new sound driver. I will try the old one again.

Btw.: WASAPI doesn't mute all other sources if DS3D GX is enabled btw. smile.gif

Well: I think I will just get in contact with ASUS. Maybe it is just a driver thing (for real exclusive there is still the WASAPI plugin) and if not: I still have ASIO smile.gif
