How do we know what the files are supposed to sound like? Is there a reference file?

One of them is a "reference" file: certain manipulation has not been applied to it, but it has been applied to the other files - in a different way to each. But I don't want to reveal which is the reference. This is intentional. I don't want any bias. This is a classical recording, so you may assume that they are supposed to sound like real instruments in real space.
