I want to augment the AR database with some fine CRCs using EAC 0.99pb4. I have about a dozen of ODDs and I wonder if it's ok to use all of them to get the confidence of tracks go up. Will the results be treated as independent although they all come from the same PC and CDs? Since some drives use the same error lamination techniques which should result in consistent errors for the same damaged CD across those ODDs...

And also I've read somewhere during the testing phase of EAC 0.99, that results are discarded from one of its prebeta versions due to a bug... is that still true for pb4?

ODD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder?

AR accepts one submission per computer ID for each disc; the first submission.

ODD = Optical Disc Drives

How is a computer defined? Does connecting and disconnecting optical drives make it a different computer?

How is a computer defined?
Spoon won't say.

Does connecting and disconnecting optical drives make it a different computer?
I think it's safe to assume the answer is no.

A computer is defined as an install of Windows.

What about multiple optical drives. I have more than one drive, I rip each CD with. Can you make a submission per drive or is it always per installation?
greynol
Ripping with a different optical drive is not the same thing as installing Windows. Putting it a different way, ripping with a different optical drive does not generate a new computer ID.
