I want to use LAME 3.98 as the audio codec for a video but I don't know how to register the codec so that it is displayed as a codec in Windows Vista.
The video program just gave me a selection box "Wave Codec" but there are only PCM and CCITT codecs.
What must I do to use LAME?
Thanks.

What software are you using...? Windows Media Payer?

Is it worth trying to add it to the PATH?

The ACM Codec helped. Thanks.

I don't think you can. LAME is not a Codec in the way that Windows understands the word. Programs have to be written to make specific use of it.
