Hello all!
I stumbled upon a few WAV files in my collection and wanted to encode them to MP3 using my Lame Encoder.
From where can I launch the encoding process?
I tried from the "Encode WAVs" option in EAC and when the Dos prompt window appears it said Invalid Genre "Accapella"?
Huh?
Any suggestions?
Thanks (as always!)

Try version 3.98. Older versions reject genres they don't recognize unless you add the proper switch to ignore it.

Hmmmm. Still not sure I understand after looking at this page?
My command line is:
-V 1 --vbr-new --id3v1-only --ta "%a" --tt "%t" --tg "%m" --tl "%g" --ty "%y" --tn "%n" %s %d
I can confirm that I am using Lame 3.98!

So it looks like the switch may still be necessary for genres that are not valid for ID3v1.
My recommendation is to use the following command line:
-V1 %s %d
...and allow EAC to tag the files
--vbr-new is not necessary with Lame 3.98, BTW.
EDIT: <rant>
Yet another example of how over-complicating things by using additional unnecessary switches when configuring Lame with EAC has led to problems.

@lvqcl: Nice catch with the "A Cappella"
So you use --id3v1-only switch? Try "A Cappella", not "Accapella"
You have chosen --id3v1-only, but that genre doesn't exists for id3v1. Try allowing id3v2 tags.
LAME 3.98 (id3tag.c): "Acappella"
LAME 3.97 (id3tag.c): "A Cappella"
EAC.exe 0.95b4: "A Cappella"
Winamp.exe 5.54: "A Cappella"
in_mp3.dll (from Winamp 5.54): "A Cappella"
interesting...
In any case "Accapella" seems to be completely wrong.

Small errors in spelling shouldn't matter anymore with 3.99 (or maybe 3.98.1). For example "acapela" and "a234 cccc a pela#" should result into genre "A Cappella", even abbreviations should work, like "H.H." for something like "Hip-Hop".
