I saw several 22" computer TFTs that have a "1080 P Ready" logo while their native resolution is 1680x1050. What exactly does that logo mean?

This is the official logo you need to look out for which says that a TV set must have a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 (amongst other things).

Other TV sets which don't have that logo but say something along the lines of "1080p ready" do it because the TV is capable of decoding a 1080p picture (even if it isn't capable of displaying it fully). That's just my experience anyway.
