I just posted this in the dBpoweramp forum, since it looks like a dBp problem - but in case it isn't...! :

"If I convert from lossless to AAC, the files play fine in foobar2000 (which is the only AAC player I have). However, if I then use ID Tag Update to add cover art, foobar then gives this error message:

Unable to open item for playback (Unsupported format or corrupted file):
"F:\MP4 (AAC Nero) Library\Music\Pop\Paul Simon\Graceland\01-The Boy In The Bubble.m4a"

If I use ID Tag Update to delete the cover art, it still gives the error message.

I'm using dMC 13.1 Reference (it also did this using the 13.1 beta), XP SP2, and the brand new Nero encoder 1.3.3.0"

Anyone else get this?

Nero devs should take a look into it.

Or maybe it's a foobar problem? I'll mosey over to the foobar forum....

Update: just tried all this using Mp3tag v2.41, and foobar plays the files with no problems, whatever I do with the cover art. So it looks like a dBpoweramp problem. Won't Spoon be pleased....
