Overall I have to say it's definitely more straight up rock that's less melodic and has more of a psychedelic feel to it. One notable exception being the second single "I'm Outta Time", which showcases Liam and the band's love for the Beatles tremendously. The mastering on the other hand is attrocious and consistent with most Oasis records that have been released over the last ten years. Any thoughts or feedback is definitely welcome feel free to chime in and give your opinion on the CD if you have it or have heard it.

I think the new album is pretty loud, like their others, but has a bit more dynamic range, I found the previous album lacking a lot of bass. I think it's a better record than "DBTT" because they explore more in the realm of psychodelics with effects, mellotron and samples. DBTT does not have any of that. Too bad they kept some good tracks off in the Bonus CD from the Deluxe Package, but of course this kind of comercial marketing will never end. The only thing that keep hurting me is the mastering techniques, which seem to be an endless practice. To be honest, I wished that MFSL released some of the Oasis works... -4.5dB would be a tremendous achievement. (their albums always go easily -12.00dB). For one thing I agree that is less melodic than "DBTT". I don't see this album as a fan gainer in any sense, but it is certainly one of their best works to date.
My favourite tracks are:
1) The Shock of the Lightning
2) Falling Down
3) The Nature of Reality
4) Bag It Up
5) Falling Down (The Chemical Brothers Remix)
