Iam wondering if anyone out there uses any websites for what iam looking for. At the minute iam trying to enter a genre for all my music for example The Beatles.

When i google it for example if i click on the Wickipedia result it tell me that they are a Pop/Rock group, it also tells me

"Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and homegrown skiffle, the group explored genres ranging from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock."

so which albums are what kinda genre? what iam really wondering is if anyone here knows of any particular websites that could help me with this? instead of me having to google each and every album i have for a genre.

Iam asking this as free db tagger doesnt seem to be finding the information for allmost all of my tracks, perhaps i have them tagged wrong?

For me, I use Tag & Rename. It is not free, but available to try for 30 days. It allows to search various Amazon sites to auto tag mp3, including genre tag.

If you check an album on Wikipedia, they usually have genres (like this: Please Please Me).

All Music Guide has got a nice collection of both genres and styles, as well as moods and themes

MusicIP offers automatic genre tagging for individual tracks, although it's limited to two genres per track (Or so? Not really sure.). This essentially rips way any form of style tags (For instance, Rock'n'roll is tagged as Rock only), but it's pretty automatic for large, un-genred collections.

Other than those, I think Last.fm might be worth checking.
