i read a tread.. about ogg.. software support.
inn/output..

and that made me wonder on.. is there any pro.
audio prossesing apps.. (mastering/sequensing)
that have support for mpc and (or) aac..

if there is.. whitch app(s)
if not.. will there be..

I'm not sure if I understood you right, but hardware encoders and decoders for MPEG-2 AAC (and of course for MPEG-2 video, too) exist since several years now. They come from companies like Philips, Mayah and others, and broadcast stations etc. use them for creating content.

This is also true for MPEG-4 applications and will probably become stronger in the future. For example it's not unthinkable that recording studios will encode their high-quality 48-channel demos/rough mixes done with MPEG-4 AAC in order to send them over a DSL connection to the musicians on the other side of the planet, so they can listen and work with them.

to be more acurate..
what i wanted an answer on..

is there any/evt. what.. seq/mastering app. have
native import/export.. capabilities of mpc/raw aac format.

most common ones.. i know of.. only handles
mp3..

I see... so you mean software like Steinberg and others? I've never heard from them that they already support AAC, but this won't take too long probably, after they've read this thread. wink.gif

hmmm... exactly...

f.ex: steinberg.. it ain`t that long.. since they
implemented lame.. in encoding..

but mpc and aac.. are proved much better..
so why stick with mp3..??

Well, there's Nic's AAC directshow plugin at rarewares. But it can only load AAC files wrapped inside a WAV file.

You can get CoolEdit input plugins for AAC at RareWares, and for MPC at Case's
