Peter,
Thanks as always for the ever improving Foobar2000.
Simple question: is it your intent that the Foobar2000 forum no longer has a sticky thread with a link to the Foobar2000 home page? It might make it a little more difficult for new users to find the download.
edited changelog thread, now includes link to homepage

Noticed a bug when playing a CD. If I am playing a CD, then eject the CD without hitting stop, the time for the song will still count down even though there is silence.

Thank you for all your hard work, Peter. It is very much appreciated here.
posted 0.51a, fixes common ugly behaviors of new cdda input
Little suggestion about title formating in preferences: could it be done similar way as tagger (with droplist and larger editfield below)?
It'd be more optimal this way, I think.

Listening to Cyril Pahinui play 6 and 12 string Hawaiian slack key guitar. I guess I need no other software to play music on my computer. Masterful piece of work: ein meisterstuck; c'est magnifique; es muy bueno. It's good, too.
Many, many thanks.

Ahem... this might sound stupid, but how do I get to play an audio cd? via the playlist menu? nothing happens...

Under the components menu.

Oops, I got so excited about the cdda support that I thought it was part of the foobar2000.zip. I just saw it's an optional download

if you download the installer vs. the zip then you don't have to worry about components since they're all in there (and optional in the installer screen)

All I want is a progress bar, then i will use foobar all the time instead of Winamp 2

I agree. I used Foobar the first day it came out and didn't like it. I just tried it out again and like it a lot more and am using it a bunch. One of the few things that I am missing is a simple progress bar so I can skip through songs. Also once a simple skin is designed so that it is a little more palatable for my girlfriend I think that I will switch my file associations away from WA2 to FB2K.
Keep up the great work Peter and contributors!

Not interesting just yet....
Needs to be integrated within the player itself.
I doubt I'll change my file associations until 1.0, but I still use Foobar most of the time.

I used to think that a progress bar was a necessity in a media player. Now I think it's not really that important. It would still be a nice addition to have one though (like the topping of an ice-cake). I must say I really liked that CDDA support has been implemented, but there's still a small issue I have with Foobar 2000: I still can't play MP3s that are in the process of being downloaded (I have to wait 'til they're finished downloading, or switch to Winamp), why is that? It's almost the only time I use Winamp 2.81.
Anyway, thanks for a great player that is slowly becoming my favorite!

Hola Peter. I'm starting to use Foobar much more now, and loving it. Just wondering, how long have you been coing this for? I'm not a coder so I can't estimate

p.s. once you find a way to get a seeker bar in there I'll be able to start using it full time!

p.p.s. Isn't 32bit really just 24bit with some extra null bits added? I think I remember this being the case when I had my Terratec DMX 6fire 24/96. But the card had problems with my computer, so I have a M-Audio Revolution now. Are there advantages of 32bit over 24? cause I don't think my M-Audio card supports 32bit.

p.p.p.s. should I use the resampler or is that really only for cards with crappy resampling like the Audigy? I think I don't need it since my card doesn't resample. Is that right?

be careful if you are using replay gain to ogg. There seems to be some kind a bug witch corrupt ogg files.
EDIT: alright. now that ogg bug is fixed in 0.52 version.
