It seems that some files have grown in size and there is an updated MPEG4-AAC plugin and an updated ASPI layer. That's all I could find out
One thing I hope they fixed was that InCD would "lock down" an RW drive for it's own exclusive use...no other app could access the drive. DirectCD never did that. I don't know about Stomp's DLA. Water over the dam for me since I'm using Stomp RNM (without DLA) now.

still no varirec available when burning via cue sheet.
This new version fixes a major problem for me that was introduced in the last few releases of Nero. My LTR-24102B CD-R drive is now seen correctly as a 24x burner instead of a 16x device.

Are there still 2 second gaps added by default, and is it still impossible to change it in the default settings ?
I don't know but there is a superb new Nero CD plug-in for QCD that allows you to set the gap from 0 to 5 secs. using the Nero engine. It burns data or audio CD's from the entire QCD playlist or from slected tracks. Available over at quinnware.com.

Well, I was using Stomp until the trial ran out. So I thought I'd give Nero (came with my Yam F1) a shot before I buy Stomp. With latest update it recognizes the Ogg

plug-in just fine. Nero tells me that the max write speed is only 4x (the Yam will do R's & RW's @ 24x). It recognizes the drive correctly and reports max speed of 44x. Anyone seen this kind of problem before?

Could be your media?
Nero uses whatever BURN-proof, burn enhancement system, your drive uses to ensure the best quality. So if this utility is telling Nero that THE MEDIA that you are using cannot be burned faster than 4x (altough strange) then you will not be able to select higher speeds.
You can override this, though it's not advised.
