this question is asked years ago - and the ionformation delivered seeems kind of outdated.
I am trying to embed Shoucats in a DirecX application - and therefore I am searching for a C or C++ library to do that.
I noticed there is a DirectShow filter for shoutcast (by Gastest) - but couldn't find any information how to deal with that.

Any idea?

Precisely what do you mean by embed Shoutcast? Add the ability to stream to a Shoutcast server? Grab the edcast source, it contains a working implementation of streaming to Shoutcast/Icecast servers. Note that it requires a Shoutcast or Icecast server already running to work.
