Full Version: iAudio7 - Problems with OGG?

Hi,

I bought a iAudio7. At first I thought it might be the crappy earphones so I bought some in ears from Sennheiser
(these with "natural sound" less bass^^). But still a sound which I would describe as a piping sound when playing
bass... If it's beneath 70Hz the bass is always accompanied with this sound.

I tested various headphones and it's definitely not them. I tried a firmwareupdate, still crappy sound with OGG.
Tried various Versions of OGG (Aotuv, "normal" ogg) but no difference.

On my PC all the files play fine. Got to be the iAudio7... Shall I return it to the dealer? Did someone else have
the same problems and solved them?

PS: WAV and mp3 play fine without distortion.

This topic was literally brought up no less then 24 hours ago. I am going to go out on a limb and say that Tremor's low-accuracy mode strikes again. This is a known problem with some of these players using low accuracy mode decoding. There should be a list compiled about which players are effected and that should then be put into a sticky thread just to inform everyone. wink.gif
