Hi everyone, new member here---I just wanted to introduce myself finally after lurking in the background, and quietly soaking it all in.I'm 51 years old, and my hearing is not as it once used to be, thanks to some loud-arse concerts and being in Const. for 30 years ....First of all I want to flat out say I'm no expert. This is a hobby for me. I am a member of a couple of other Video sites( I wouldn't call myself a noob).Since visiting this great site, and learning new stuff for the last 4-5 mos. you've all contributed in re-juvinating my music interest...
Thanks to HA, I can now rip securely (EAC) and have since discovered dBpwerAmp, as well as foobar2k (curacao), conduct my own listening tests (ABX) via f2k...
I've been introduced to Flac, and use it exclusively for my CD rips...It's absolutely friggin amazing what I've learned and still learning everyday(not sucking up)....So to wrap this up, thanks again to all who contribute here..Rest assured there's no trolling here..Just quietly soaking it in, and someday contribute as well.
