Which performance of Beethoven Symphony #9?

I usually prepare a CD-R with a set of track, for the most recent purchase of monitor speakers it contained among others:

Aria "Von den Stricken" from Bach's St. John's Passion, first recording by Philippe Herreweghe: great for checking human voice (alto) timbre and transparency - two oboes playing in the same range

Chorus "Kommt ihr Töchter" from Bach's St Matthew's Passion, second recording by Philippe Herrweghe - for transparency (two SATB choirs + boy's choir)

Vivo from Bacewicz's Concerto for string orchestra, conducted by Penderecki - great recording of a string orchestra

A fragment of Beethoven's piano sonato No. 28 played by Ashkenazy - well-recorded piano makes a great testing track

Crucifixus from Bach's Mass in b-minor (Gardiner) - rendition of quiet voices and organ

The beginning of Grieg's piano concerto (Ousset/Marriner) - timpani roll, piano, full orchestra

A movement from Mozart's "Gran Partita" serenade (Marriner) - woodwind colours

The first movement of Bach's Violin concerto BWV1041 (Musica Alta Ripa) - very well recorded baroque ensemble with violin and harpsichord

Contrapunctus XIII inversus from Bach's Kunst der Fuge (Koopman/Mathot) - harpsichords

A movement from one of Bach's Suites for solo cello (Fournier) - cello solo, of course

Brahms: fragments of the Academic Festival Ouverture and Haydn Variations (Solti) - big orchestra with a traingle & big drum.

I also usually include a recording with a bit dry sound (Beethoven's Eroica, Kempe) and a fat, over-bassed one (Beethoven Triple concerto, or one of the ouvertures from the same CD: Mutter, Ma Zeltser, Karajan).

...and several other pieces, which I don't remember right now. And can't check, the guy at the store liked the Bacewicz's concerto so much that I gave him the CD-R :-)
