Full Version: Is there a way check whether an ADTS aac file is SBR without decoding?

Such information is not stored in the 7-byte ADTS header.

I am using Windows. AFAIK, MediaInfo cannot do it. Mkvmerge and MP4Box require the user to manually specify SBR. AVI_MUX-GUI guesses it based on sample rate.

So, is there an easy way to "extract" SBR information from raw bitstream without decoding?

And sorry for double post, but the original post seems ignored in AAC - General forum.
