highest cbr bitrate is 320kbps. but for mono audio, qt offers 256kbps. is that means we can get a 512kbps aac file by compress one stereo file to 2 mono file, then mux them together?
if that;s right, is there anyway to mux them?

just for testing, and ABXing...
also, is this a faster way to tell the sq lost? cause the abx really takes time... you compress track 1, you get track 2. if you downmix two tracks, of which one is polarity-inversed. then playback. if there's nothing but whitenoise, and can barely remind you which song it is, you can say that it's lossless for human hearing...??

If you are worried about quality why don't you use a lossless format like FLAC or Wavpack or Apple Lossless?
