Hey! I've got 2 Flac Files on my Computer which are obviously corrupted. I can playback the whole file but when i want to add a replaygain tag to them an error occures. I don't know how to fix them. i already tried to reencode them but new file has an end in the middle of the original file.
Does anybody know what to do?#
edit: sorry for posting this thread in the wrong area

Have you tried decoding the files to WAV then re-encoding to FLAC again?

Re-rip from the CD? Or get them again from wherever you got them?

can you post (paste) the error message here ? your case is similar with mine (with error message that fb2k can't recognize the file format), but mine is OptimFROG DualStream (only try this format). Play perfect but error when i want to add RG, only in Vista (Home Premium) but it's fine in XP Pro.
Have you tried to decode through errors?
-F
or
--decode-through-errors
http://flac.sourceforge.net/documentation_..._through_errorsWith any luck the rest of the file will decode and the error will be small enough to not be detectable.

this message comes during playback
Decoding failure at 2:57.679 (Unsupported format or corrupted file):
this message comes with the flac tester
ERROR while decoding data
state = FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_END_OF_STREAM
tried to decode through errors but doesn't work
the original file is 4:18 long but at 2:57 the playback stops. new encoded files based on the original file only have the 2:58 lenght
