Hello People
Alot Of People Told Me That lame - 3.93.1 Is the best is that true?


And Also will it screw up my mp3 quality if im converting from lossless music (cue/ape) to flac tracks and after that with another ripper to mp3 320kbps CBR

Nope!

That version is known to have problems at VBR. You or they might have misteaked it for 3.90.3, which was HA's old recommended version for years until 3.97 was at beta.

Lossless is lossless. Really it is. Otherwise it would be called loss-some.

is LAME3.97 (mediamonkey convertor based) is good?
oh and is 3.93 is the best?

From Hydrogenaudio Wiki:

"Unless noted otherwise, the recommended LAME compile for optimal quality is always the latest stable version."
