Like the poster below I put my cd collection on my hard drive a few years ago and cannot remember much about it. I'm by know means a software genius.

At that time dbpoweramp was free and that is what i used. I actually still had it on my computer and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work until I found that it was now a pay service.

Anyway, I want to convert my .flac music to mp3. I tried using eac/lame(I used eac/flac for my entire collection a few years ago) but for some reason cannot get it to work. I can still get the .flac to work but for some reason lame will not work.

'nother question. Can i somehow use eac/lame/flac so that when I put a new cd in it will compress to flac and send to a certain directory and also compress to mp3 and send to another directory? If not possible I will still use eac/flac to put on hard drive and then just need to know how to convert to mp3.

Thank you all,

Ron

You seem not to have search this web site (hard enough). There are several posts with the same issue. And in the HA wiki you'll find the most important answers.

This is my way of doing it:
1.- Rip with EAC to FLAC
2.- Convert with foobar2000 to mp3 (or other formats)
