Hi All,
I'm bit confused on how RealNetworks has given the version numbers for its decoders. I see two conflicting versions for cook codec in the following two wiki links.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RealAudio - this link says cook cocec is RealAudio 6
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cook_Codec - this likn says cook codec is RealAudio 8
I read somewhere that Realaudio 10 is backward compatible with RealAudio 8 decoders. Can someone please give some inputs on the following questions.
1) How the version number is given to the real decoders?
2) What are the decoders available in each version?
Thanks,
Santh
