Wow,
What's that theme called and where can I get it? Themexp.org?
Spadge
Edit: Ahh...found it. (It's called Dragon Style is anyone else likes it)
Great looking theme that is. Makes my old background look not-so-good

But at least I made it myself!

Here's a quick shot of my screen
desktop. Maybe I should think of finally changing those crappy icons..
spase, where did you get that variation of the Dragon Style theme?
The version Gemini (and I) have has a gigantic taskbar and titlebar, which is no good.

Mar 14 2003, 00:30
Bonj,
The taskbar size is however big you make it!.
If you right click on it and uncheck "lock the taskbar", then drag it down (or up if you want it bigger) you can resize it. Then lock it again when you're done so you can't move it anymore.
That's what I do anyway.
Spadge
No, no, I know Gemini has his taskbar stretched to double size, but the original size is very, very thick.
spase's theme has a much thinner taskbar.

Ah yes, now I see what you mean.
The look of the system tray area is also a little different.
Sorry about that.

current setup is mostly stock; only real changes are the 3rd party seekbar plugin mentioned in another thread and having the current track blue.

hmm nope not really, i'd like to know too

.
I can suggest though that because this host doesn't support off-site linking to binaries you can upload an html page with the picture instead. More work but it'll work

Question - how to make foobar transparent like you did? (without making the letter transparent). Regards, Coyote
Coyote: The text IS transparent, but it's white (or nearly white) and so the black background + transparency = good-looking text. I myself just have tried different colors so it looks good with transparency on.
Changed my fb2k strings (you can find them from the title formatting -topic), Samurize string a bit, gave the old background a little facelift and also took new icons from somewhere. God damn this Win2k, as I had to hack those icons to show up nicely (antialiased).

Screenshot is avaliable

Coyote,
What you can see when you're refering to the background being transparent but not the text is actually not foobar. That is a program called Samurize.
Get it hereYou can use Samurize along with the foobar plugin textinfo to display the currently playing song on your desktop

@anza: Which font are you using for the menu bar?
BTW, your desktop looks great

EDIT: Here is my desktop:
http://stud4.tuwien.ac.at/~e0125672/foobar.pngI don't like skinning but I am sure none of your desktop's look anything like mine

BTW: The black rectangle below the docked foobar2000 is the overlay window from my tv application

EDIT2: I am suprised how many people are using the great Samurize
MaxAuthority: I'm using ProFontWindows. Not in foobar only, but also in Windows

@ranor: LOL! I thought I was the only person who had found the Lime font for FB2k playlist display. Never seen a font get so much info into so small a space... =)
Totally cool desktop, BTW.
LiteShell owns.
i've looked everywhere i can think of to get hold of the lime font but can't find it anyway
can anyone give me a pointer to where i might find it? :/
Greenish format stringLime is in the zip file above along with the greenish format string.
Since we are doing this ill have to show mine:
http://www.overclockers.com.au/~mwp/temp/Image2.jpgThe background image is updated every 5mins with new real-time cloud info (xplanet).
The weather info is from BOM, also updated every 5mins.
Hmm, i might have to add some FB2K controls to it.

Being a BSD fan, I'm used to font's created by artwiz (for blackbox.) Edges, Lime, Lisp, Mints-mild/strong, Gelly are all Great fonts. If any of you have access to these fonts for windows, hit me up

While I'm on the topic of open source, here's my sister's linux distro screenshot. Sweet.

First off: You Own Dude! Been looking for those fonts for a while, and I was too lazy to figure out how to convert them to a Windows-friendly environment.
Btw, were you able to get those fonts working? In the playlist I mean. Most of the strings I 'l33ched' requested certain fonts. Anywho, I'm gonna download those fonts, and test em.
