I used to use Sony Soundforge to put together audiotracks (fade-in/fade-out) to put it together into a mixtape. I no longer have the program,
and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a program that works for this. Audacity didnt really work well for me, so other programs that
you have used for this task (and work well) would be well received.

Thanks!

To test if this kind of software suits for you, from shareware alternatives, Cockos Reaper is maybe the best one you could imagine to use (though, any similiar software goes as well if there just are needed features available) ... you can use volume envelopes for fades (on Reaper, [env] button on track properties ... set the fades for each track and finally, when everything's OK then just render the project ...).
