When I import using iTunes LAME 3.97, the track names all look something like 07 1-07 07 07 07. Viva la Vida. How can I get it to just be Viva la Vida without having to manually edit? Thank you.

It sounds like you have bad tags to being with. I have no idea why iTunes would do this.

I'd say get a mp3 tagging app, like mp3tag, and take a look at your tags.

Thanks for the replies. The file name found in the 'Finder' folder structure is 07. Viva la Vida. When I import this file into the iTunes library, I get all the extra 07s.

But the file NAME could be quite different from the TAGS associated with the file. Use a tag editor (mp3tag) to confirm that the appropriate tag fields are what you want them to be. Itunes has no problem in my experience in correctly reading tags from mp3 files created with various LAME versions. (or even simply right click on the file in itunes, select file info, and look at (and edit) your tags right there.
