This semester at University I have a logic programming lesson, thus I
need a free user-friendly Prolog compiler. I've found some which are
shareware, like LPA Win-Prolog, but I'd like to fnd a free one. Can anyone
help out?

Have you tried SWI-Prolog?
http://www.swi-prolog.org/

It´s LGPLd

And worked here. (Damn, my logic classes still give me nightmares from time to time)
