Hi,

I was wondering if someone can help me with converting a FLAC Disc Image to separate tracks in a mp3 format. I'm not to familiar with the whole sound coversion community. Thanks,

Easy way: Use Foobar2000 for your task. Itīs avaible at http://www.foobar2000.org - the needed codecs at http://www.rarewares.org/ (you need to put the encoder .exe files in the C:\Program Files\foobar2000\components\ folder, so foobar can use them)
Open the .cue File, if not embedded, in foobar, select all tracks per Strg+a and use right click, then go on convert [the one with the three points]

Next step: Chose the format you want to use (mp3, flac single files, aac?), edit the path your files should be shit out, change the filename format if you want and click on the point "Convert each track to an individual file", on the lower left side of the first tab (where you can change the filename formatting).
Hit ok and thatīs all (i hope i didnīt forget anything)

As far as a destination format goes, I'd like to use MP3.

Is the flac image File in the same directory?
C:\Users\Rafael\Music\Gentle Giant\Gentle Giant - 1972 - Octopus\ <- this one
If not, you could edit the cue file and change the path in there, or you could move the flac file.

More infos next time please :-) my crystal ball is fogged today

I downlaoded the .dll extension and included it in the Foobar folder, but still doesnt recognizes the files...
Grunpfnul
Did you moved it to the component folder?

1. Restart foobar & Open Foobar
2. Open the foobar options, go to "file types" - click "Open 'Set Programm... there should be a point for .ape files, if not, you must open .ape files through foobar (drag&drop to playlist, or file open)
3. ???
4. Profit
