Is there a way to invoke the View New Posts on a subset of the forums here on HA. It would help if I could filter out the discussion areas I already know I'm not interested in.

Yes. Use the following URL with "activeforums" set to the IDs of the forums you want to read, for example:


The IDs can be determined from the subforum URLs. For example, site related discussion is 25.

The Off Topic forum has the forum ID 17. When I try to call http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....activeforums=17 I get the following error message:

You did not choose any forums to search in, or the forums you chose to search in are password protected. If this is the case, please make sure you are logged into the password protected forums before searching.

Could this be the reason for http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=70383 ?
