Over the years I’ve collected a whole stack of books that really helped me understanding signal processing, etc.
The one book or website that I miss in this collection is one where the big names in the audio industry give a great number of tips and tricks regarding signal processing.
With that I mean great general compressor settings for vocal and instruments, gating and delay techniques, and all the other stuff one can think about.
Most books include some of these tricks, but I’m looking for something a bit more elaborate.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
There are a lot of good ones out there. I am not going to list them all simply, because I am hobbyist rather then an engineer, but one of the ones that everyone loves that is free and gives you an introductory understanding to the subject is Steven. W. Smith Scientist and Engineers Guide To Digital Signal Processing. That's a good starting point if you want to dive into the conceptual as well as somewhat technical understanding of the subject. The opposite is Alan V. Oppenheim Discrete-Time Signal Processing from the MIT press. That seems to be a book that a lot of serious and high level engineering students use! It depends on the subject as well!.
