I've just started into the world of music production and played around with FL Studio, and now have downloaded the demo for Reason 4.
Reason seems to need a MIDI keyboard, so I'm thinking of getting one.

I want to get into making trance/hard house sort of tunes.
I'm in South Africa so I'd say my budget is around the $100 $200 mark in the US price equivalent.

I've been looking at the M-Audio Keyrig 49, or the Behringer UMX49.
Anyone have experience with these keyboards, or what else would you recommend?

To me, they both look fine for the price and might just be what you need. But it looks like the Behringer has more features (knobs etc.), so I'd go with that. No experience with such control keyboards, though.
