I'm not sure where to post this, but someone could direct me there.
Anyway, I am hoping that perhaps someone knows how to rip DTS 5.1 CDs and knows of a format that I could then convert it to. Would it be AC3? Since DTS CDs contain multiple channels, I suppose Ac3 would be it??
since I read this thread plus the forum threads dspguru sent us Im confused because (maybe because of my bad english knowledge

) I found no real solution.
e.g. the DTS Track from the Santana Supernatural live DVD - with some problems in the beginning I managed it to rip this track with smartripper as one track - I think its better to cut the track like chaptors because of the length and further navigation.
Ok ~480MB DTS (pure) - and now

how do I convert this track into a so called DTS-WAV using the besure-method via surcode?
Besure only accept Vob/AC3-Files but no DTS - where is the missing step?
The alternative way via AC3 cant be the sollution
Can somebody give me hint for the missing step?
2nd problem is always the playback theme on PC - meanwhile is there a DS-Filter (for example) avalible to playback the 'nacked' DTS stream (like AC3) and of course the DTS-WAV to control the results of the converting (simply there is no need to produce a real 5.1 on the PC - 2 channels stereo is enough for me to judge whether the results are good or only digital noise)?
3rd is it possible to work on those files with sound editing programs like cooledit / wavlab...
I cant even manage to work on those converted AC3 -> 6 WAV-Files (before DTS encoding) I use cool edit 2.1 - with no luck
Hope someone could help me out of this dilema
