Hi,

I'm looking for a way to listen to MPC music with Windows Media Player (nothing else). So where can I find MPC audio codecs (the same easy way as when you search for divx video codecs) ?

Thanks. smile.gif

Short answer. You can't. There are no such filters on the market.

You need a Musepack Directshow filter for this - right?

Hi,

i have the pleasure to announce that Christophe 'Toff' Paris was
successful in creating a DirectShow playback filter for MPC ( musepack )
SV7 audio streams. The filter will be released together with the next RC
( Nr. 3 ) of 'The Core Media Player' . Same time MPC files will be added
to the list of supported formats ( extensions ) in the TCMP setup. Most
of the advanced features of TCMP, such as the Nefertiti playlist and the
Dynamic Equalizer were tested with MPC and work fine.

If anybody copied here wants to have a look first and play MPC in
Windows Mediaplayer ( beware !! ;-) ) or TCMP, pls. drop me a short mail.

Best regards

If I understand this correctly it's possible right now.

Well, RC3 of The Core Media Player is out, but it doesn't have SV7 DS filter. Actually, there is filter called CoreCoded Audio Source which looks like a DS wrapper to TCMP own plugin system, so it can be used to play MPC using GraphEdit, but it's not real DS filter - that means no MPC in Windows Media Player, yet.
