I have a couple LAME encoded files without CRC readouts, but I was wondering if the Music CRC value is OK, does that mean that the file was transferred with any errors?

Thanks.

Yes, it means that the file was transferred with errors?

I would say no blink.gif . About the precision Gabriel would best answer this but one thing I have found is if the file has had replay/mp3Gain applied it will show CRC Corrupt

If the music crc is ok, it means that the file is not modified since the encoding.

In Winamp MPEG Audio decoder setting, you can enable or disable CRC checking.

This is something else. They most likely refer to the -p switch for LAME. That's a frame-based CRC which was originally intended for streaming purposes, but isn't used these days.

The Music CRC is part of the LAME tag and spans the whole audio data of an MP3, IIRC.
