I just decripted a dvd and found it had m2v files as the video files, and vob as the audio file??? Whats this all about???

afaik vob stands for 'video object' but actualy incorporates video/audio/subtitle/ streams, "m2v is mpeg2 video that was ripped from inside the vob".
