Does your soundcard support greater than 16bits?
jeffrey9
I do not think SB live is a "true 24-bit" audio card.

sorry..
Moneo
Sound Blaster Live! does *NOT* support playback resolutions over 16 bit.

End of story.

Oddly enough, I can feed my Santa Cruz 32-bit data (float or fixed-point) with no problem. I don't think the Santa Cruz is supposed to support anything above 20-bit, though. Meh, I just leave it on 16.
KikeG
Despite it uses 20-bit DACs, Santa Cruz can't handle data size larger than 16 bits. I suppose it's WDM drivers in Win2K and WinXP that accept 32-bit data and convert internally to 16 bit before sending to the card harware. This is not optimum, better set ouput resolution to 16 bit and let FB2K do the conversion.

I can't seem to go above 16bit either. I'm using a Revo.

32-bit fixed-point works fine on mine with KS (it doesn't like 24-bit, though).

Upgrade your Revo drivers. It will work then.
