I know mppenc adds "Experimental" tag to the file, but how big is the difference in quality/bitrate? I was thinking "Well who gives a damn about that tag if I'm the only one listening to it " Is there an estimate on 1.16 (or is there going to be any before SV8)?

1.15r reduces some artifacts with signal like amnesia.wav. Bitrate is a bit higher on all music. On harpsichord music (didn't try with Händel, but with Rameau 
), there's an increase of 10-15 kbps.
