In past few weeks I had some nasty restarts. When I clicked or pressed something, it was just like I pushed the reset button, only I also heard the hard drive first stopping spinning for few seconds (just like when computer turns off) and then again being spinned up and the system booted.
This always happened with windows xp. I have also win98 and linux installed on the same disk drive and they work fine, so I'm guessing this is not a power supply issue.
Today I figured out that this always happens with an ogg file containing vorbis, e.g. when I press (and especially when I also hold) key "b" or "numpad 3" in winamp, when I open an ogg from windows explorer, or just point and select it, or view its properties, ... so I uninstalled oggds filter and the problem seemed to be fixed after some short testing. I restarted, reinstalled the filter and the troubles are back. The version I have is 0.9.9.5 - the latest I think. It's funny that this does not happen with ogm files, which contain also some video and subtitles.
