Full Version: Frontend Question

Greetings,

I've had problems creating mpc's (with the frontends I think). When I first unzipped everything the only frontend that would work was MuseDrop, and I need more than that. Monkey's won't work and MPC Batch Enc is my preference.

I had an older version, Batch Enc. 2.2.2, stored away and it seems to work. When I then tried 2.2.6 again, it wouldn't work, and to top it off, 2.2.2 quit working. I then trashed everything and started over with 2.2.2 only, including reinstalling the files suggested in the readme.

Anyway, my question: Since I have many files to encode I want to go ahead. Is there any reason not to just go ahead and use 2.2.2? Now that it's working I'm totally scared of 2.2.6 (though my problem must be something on my system, I guess). I wouldn't think so, but before I begin I would like to hear from some of you who have knowledge of 2.2.6, and if you think there's any reason to solve the problem first.

Thanks for the help.
Jan S.
As long as you use a recent version of mpc the frontend doesn't matter.
The frontend just "gives" the encoder the wanted settings.
Check the batch file to see what command-line is used. If it's correct then the frontend is fine.
