Hi
If I'm not wrong, winamp media library can't read ape tags.
Have anybody know way (plugin...etc.), which can do this job.
I'm using WA 2.90.
And because of Win98, I can't use F2k (don't know if it has media library at all).
Thanks

What is the problem with foobar on Win98 ? I'm on 98 too, and foobar is my main player since two months, with a big 9.000 mpc playlist...

No ML on foobar, but an Album List Component, and a very reactive Playlist Window/Database. That's a good ersatz wink.gif

I posted this question on the Winamp board. The response I got was that the plug-in for both APE and FLAC needed to be fixed in order to get it work in the 2.9 library. I don't quite understand why the playlist reads the tags fine but not the library. Sounds like a library problem, not the plug-in?

Thank & sorry for the late reply, but it took some time to investigate fb2k.

This old statement of the author have misleaded me.
Now after a whole day of learning how to make nice looking and informative fpl-window, I'm quite pleased. (sorry again - new in this strings)
And there is just so little to make me happy and forget winamp wink.gif .
I *can* live without seekbar & skins, but I need very much some interactivity in database search to make it more like ML.
May be something like falling menu with query history in foo_dbsearch window. And even better buttons with predefined strings (to search only this or that field). And also right click menu to search by the artist(genre ...) of the current item.
I'm aware that this mean almost ML, yes that's what I'm seeking for. Please don't make me think of suicide. blink.gif

P.S. Not sure is this the right thread to place my request. May someone will quote it to right person.

Ogia, I quoted your last post in this thread in a new thread in the fb2k general forum:
