The company behind this new software is Mayah, a german hard- and software manufacturer for professional broadcasting studios. The most interesting claim for their brand new mp3PRO player is the "real-time playback of streamed files", because this would mean that it can buffer mp3PRO files which is important for dialup connections with a modem.

The commercial version of their player is an all-in-one app with much more features and costs EUR 29.95.

There's also a MP3 editor available for free that can cut files without the need to decode them first (like mp3DirectCut).

And they installed a web forum with several boards, so you can ask your questions there, e.g "Why OGG, why not AAC?" or "Why no AAC+ support yet?" etc.... wink.gif

Hmm, it should be the same actually, but maybe there are more options in Winamp to mess up the sound completely like all DSP plugins (EQ, Spatialization etc.)... wink.gif

By the way, did you already notice that their forum also has a Spanish board? smile.gif
